I don't give many places 5 stars, so that should tell you how much I loved this place. I have eaten here twice, both times I have not been disappointed. A wonderful view, excellent staff, and awesome food. Plus, it's pretty historic and I love the building it's in!
Great staff, food and service. The whole experience was delightful. The dinning area inside was clean and cooled comfortably. Decorated with interesting photos on the walls and great scenery out the many windows. Get the chicken fried steak, green beans and potatoes...some of the best. The family and I will definitely dine here again on our next trip to Garner State Park.
Always good food. Usually crowded in the summer so make reservations!
We were staying in Concan. On our way home we decided to try Neal's Cafe. The food is great. Their chicken fried steak was wonderful and our daughter enjoyed her hamburger. The fried onion rings are a must too. We had two dogs with us, there was a shady outdoor picnic table we could use. You can't take dogs to the tables out back, but if you are dog free there is a lovely peaceful eating area that overlooks the river. Amazing cafe, you have to try it!
