Arrived at the park and Check in is a zoo!!! We have reservations, have to wait in line to check in by numbers (was 25 when we got here and in 50 now and we have 94.) hope the park is worth the wait!
Update: took about two hours to check in, (amd the park staff were very professional) but the park was definitely worth the wait! We had a great campsite close to the center of the park with many hiking trails close by. Will just know in future to get here much earlier in day.
Nice little slices of natural Texas scenery. Rangers keep people in line and very family oriented.
The park is wonderful, however, there needs to be a more efficient way to check in.
Love the river and the park is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. The staff aren't very friendly. Security is very present, which is a good thing. We stayed in an older area (campsite 44) and all the campsites in that section a very small. Would go ahead and try a different area to camp.
