they came to our cabin and told us we had to leave in the middle of the night, told us they were calling the cops before we could even get up. then threatened us. we have a 6month old baby in the group and they have to cut their vacation short and drive 7-8 hours. to top it off they aren't giving anyone a refund.
The manager is SO unprofessional and rude. He came up to our cabin acting belligerent and flailing his arms around. We have been loyal customers for several years and this is how we were treated in return. The behavior of the manager was unacceptable! We will not be using them again. I do not recommend renting from them.
When I read some of the comments I couldn't figure out what was wrong ! We have been going to Bent River Retreat for 7 years . They do have a new manger. The manger explained that they tell you when you rent the max number of people and everyone that rents cabins knows every place has max number . So I for sure wouldn't be happy if the cabin beside me has 70 plus people partying and going to the river by the place I rented . I have stayed at the frio for 45 years every summer and have never had the police called on any of my family or friends so if you Have the police called on your group that should be a reality check. The frio is such a beautiful place and a place I dearly love please be respectful and clean up any trash in the river you may see because I want it stay this way !
My family has been staying here for years. It is a great family oriented place to vacation. We'll run very friendly owners and managers. I highly recommend B.E.N.T River Retreat.

Couldn't tell you how awful their service is. They need less than 1 star. They kicked my friends out with a 6 month old baby, without refunding their money. It was all because we parked in the grass, and they gave us less than 5 minutes to move.
