We stayed at Steppin Back Guest Ranch earlier this year. It was a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Austin. Easy drive to get there. The cabins are fresh and clean with all the amenities you need - outdoor grills, inside kitchen, appliances, satellite tv, comfortable beds, bathrooms with showers, couches etc. It was like have the nicer things from home, but the outdoors right at your finger tips. These are not junky cabins, these are nice, clean and comfortable. Plenty of walking trails all around and you're literally just a mile from the river. Very serene and quiet with crisp fresh air to breathe. The views are beautiful from each cabin too. It was a great time and we certainly hope to get back there again in 2013. I highly recommend renting one of these cabins for a relaxing family type getaway.
